‘Pupils want to learn. They take delight in learning and rise to challenge…they take pride in their work‘
Ofsted 0ctober 2018
We are proud of our school and the local community we serve. We have approximately 200 children that we educate from 2 year olds, a Foundation Unit with Nursery and Reception all the way up to Year 6. Our school was originally opened in 1910 but has been extensively refurbished in recent years including the development of the outdoor learning provision and eco classroom.
We deliver a broad and balanced curriculum tailored to our children’s needs and taking account of their cultural capital. We aspire for our children to leave us as confident, respectful and tolerant individuals who know themselves well, have the courage to try new challenges and are inspired to aim high on their life path.
The Governors are proud that all of our children are taught by dedicated and experienced teachers, who are supported by knowledgeable and skilled support staff. We strive to ensure all children achieve well and develop a thirst for learning within in a stimulating and supportive environment. We have the highest expectations for everyone and encourage and promote a sense of pride within school and the community, respect for all and a tolerance and empathy for others.
To complement our work we welcome and encourage the support given by our parents and families. We regularly provide opportunities for families to work together with children in school. We believe that children will only achieve their highest potential when the teachers, parents and families work together.
