Shoe Box

13th November 2019 By maevemackenzie

We started our Shoe Box Appeal with an assembly and work in Year 4 to find out what it is like for child across areas of Europe and the wider world in areas of hardship. The children responded with empathy and compassion and we have proudly sent our boxes to be delivered in time for Christmas. We will find out in the new year where they put a smile on a child’s face.

Thank you to all who supported this cause.

Friendship Week

13th November 2019 By maevemackenzie

The week beginning 11th November is Anti Bullying Week. At our school we try to also focus on what it is to be a good friend. All classes have been working together on aspects of falling out, getting along better with each other and what it means to be a good friend. They have also been looking at all the different types of bullying that can take place in society and how to support themselves and each other if they come across any bullying. We are ending the week with a celebration of friendship that also supports Children In Need. All family members are invited to join us at 9.00am in the school hall followed by a Pudsey Challenge in the classrooms.
