Friends of St Helens (FOSH)

Welcome to friends of St Helens

Welcome to Friends of St Helens School (FOSH). FOSH is a voluntary group run by parents and carers of children in school, working alongside staff. The aim is to encourage all stakeholders (pupils, parents, school and the wider community) to engage in fun activities whilst hopefully raising some funds for our children. As you know school funds are to help provide all of the little extras that positively enhance and enrich our children’s lives in school, and quite often its these little enhancements that make school life more memorable e.g. the school trips-lifelong memories are made on these excursions.

So what can we do to help?

Every parent and carer who has a child at the school is automatically a part of this group. The level of involvement that you have in the group is totally up to you and your own personal circumstances. You could:

  • become a member of our committee, we aim to meet once every half term to discuss any ideas – date to be confirmed)
  • attend school events
  • buy and sell tickets
  • spread the word to family, friends and others about our upcoming events
  • donate gifts, prizes etc. or any other services and expertise you could provide to the school

We are always keen to welcome new members at meetings and we are always open to hearing lots of positive new ideas of what our wider community wants to see within school.

If you would like to know more about us or would like to become a member of FOSH please contact the school office.
